The Personal OS
The one place my life runs from. Email, to-dos, calendar, money and home, with an agent for each job.
Rebuild started October 2026Website live, dashboard next
WHY
My last versions buried me in text, and I stopped opening them. This time it has to become a habit, not another chore.
DONE WHEN
I open it every morning for a month without forcing it.
Scope
In
- A dashboard as the home base
- Agents for my email, to-do list and calendar
- A weekly digest of my finances, with subscriptions and renewals coming up
- Shopping and recipes
- Our home renovation project
- A weekly digest that feeds the weeknotes
- Runs in a locked-down VM
Out, for now
- Agents that post long text every day
- Anything that sends without my yes
- Confidential work data
Approach
It won't happen in one go. When I hit a new problem, I add an agent or a process for it, one at a time. I'll also try local AI models, running on my own machine, not just Claude and Codex.
Milestones
- A safe place to workVM, snapshots, guarded email, secrets in the Keychain.Done
- The weekly digestEvery Monday at 8am, a summary of what I did with Claude.Done
- The website and design systemLive on 31 October 2026, so the OS has somewhere to publish to.Done
- The dashboardOne page: reports, inbox, to-dos.Now
- Email, to-do and calendar agentsThe daily admin, handled.
- The money digestFinances, subscriptions and renewals, once a week.
- A month of morningsThe finish line.
